An important Site Engineer working for a company called Hobark International Limited on a contract basis in Nigeria had returned to the UK to spend Christmas with his family. What he didn't realise was his Passport was stamped with a visa for 10 months instead of the usual 12 months. The problem arose when he wanted to return to Nigeria on the 27th of December. When he arrived at Heathrow Airport to catch his flight to Nigeria he was refused boarding because of the expired working visa. Meanwhile the only other qualified engineer was on a flight back to the UK and Mr Hattersley was due to fly over that day to replace him on site. This could have spelt disaster for the company and cost them millions in revenue.
